Stephanie Smith ~ Hospital Stay

The food here tastes
like a child-made
easy-bake oven meal

They drew my blood again
(those vampires)
but compensated
with a morphine drip
as I ate some pâté

then dreamt
of sitting in a café
with Picasso and Breton
sharing thoughts over coffee
and a day-old baguette
