The river in Columbus is the color of cancer,
with muddy banks and depressed ravens,
moaning at a forlorn virgin day awakening.
The skeletal remains of trees lament, they
reach into a hopeless sky, shivering an
uncontrollable fate, they know shall soon arrive.
Frost escaping from these lungs, aligned with
the tar of hundreds of cigarette’s, ghost are
formed and saunter upon the surface of bleakness.
