Wayne Russell ~ Dust and Bones

we are but bones scattered
unto the multitudes
ravens wings
dark as cancer
flapping in unfathomable pantomime
into the barren breeze
a moment captured
then set free
into the dust
frozen in time
captured ghost
wrapped lovingly within fleshy arms
of rhapsody
a prelude of what was
and what could have been
jettisoned into the infinity of
a salvation that was purchased
upon and old wooden cross
