Everybody dreams of flying
no longer bound to mundane earth
soaring free over shadowed fields
but somehow I always dream
only ever dream that I am floating
deep in interplanetary space
caught between twin gravitational
bodies, forces ringing through me
like a bell – until I wake uneasy
and groping for an attraction
that carries on its ethereal singing
deep within my bones.
