Billie Maciunas LANDSCAPE FROM THE WINDOW AT BEIRA MAR

The world is surprised by so much
much weariness (I am not surprised…)
in the wings of seagulls in flight
the graceful movement straight
toward the apocalyptic suicide in the ocean
ocean of Lautreámont
where I saw my love floating
the most loved of all!
that I strangled with these lyrical hands of mine.

Paulo Garcez de Sena, Escritura da Palavra & do Som, Fortaleza-Ceará, Brazil, 1985
